Importancia del diagnóstico oportuno TDAH.
El trastorno de déficit de atención e hiperactividad (TDAH) es una afectación del neurodesarrollo que suele persistir durante toda la vida de los individuos afectados.1-5
Por consiguiente, no debe considerarse como un trastorno propio de la niñez y que mejora con la edad (durante la adolescencia y la etapa adulta temprana).2,6
De hecho, en 50% a 75% de los niños diagnosticados con TDAH, este permanece al llegar a la etapa adulta.2,4,6-8
Tanto en niños como en adultos el trastorno de déficit de atención e hiperactividad suele ser subdiagnosticado y, por ende, subtratado.2,3,6,9-11
